All in Due Time

You start to spread lies like a bad infection
You took a big step but in the wrong direction
You needed the money so you turned to crime
You condone yourself all the time
You start to lie to yourself and believe yourself too
Now you're in a bad spot not much more you can do
So you watch and you wait and you hope for the best
but such simple plans just progressed and progressed
(You're) knee deep in shit and still digging your hole
For a new chance to start you would sell your soul
but there's no easy way out, tell yourself you'll be fine
and you'll be back on your feet again all in due time.
Just wanna make sure that my message gets through
from my brain to my mouth through the mic to you
Living everyday like an obstacle course
You're like f**ck that brass ring Im taking the horse
You know you're chances are you wont survive
So sit back clench your teeth and hold for the ride
Because you scream at yourself like a man who's in Hell
You cant believe you're just like the so many who've fell
Just be cool you say, relax and stay calm
(but) you know deep inside you cant take it for long
Tried to good, all came out wrong
you know deep inside you cant take it for long
there's no easy way out, tell yourself you'll be fine
and you'll be back on your feet again all in due time.
You're at the end of your line and your end is in sight
Scraping together your last bit of fight
Weakened and blind as you crawl to the door
but its locked and its blocked and not there anymore
Step to the world, hold your head high
Push away all the demons you have clawing inside
there's no easy way out, tell yourself you'll be fine
you'll be back on your feet again all in due time

Power

Do I have to be poor do I have to be black
to have all this anger and want to attack
I'm middle class and white a male suburbanite
you may think Ive got it all but I still had to fight
and they say that status makes life so much easier
where did they grow up and who told them this bulls**t?
Gotta gotta grow or you're gonna get stepped on
I don't care if you're middle class black white rich or poor
Gotta get yours gotta get more
Gonna grow gonna be the opportunity whore
fight to work fight to grow f**king fight to live
if you push me enough somethings got to give
and I don't give I cant Ive come too far to lose it
I don't think I'm all hard core so I have to prove it
Enemy
you may think I got it easy but I still had to fight
These aren't just words my emotions are raw
I don't agree with that s**t so I go declare war
stand up don't sit speak out don't ignore
cause then its just a question of who wants it more
who wants it more? Gonna grow gonna be the opportunity whore
Enemy
you may think I got it easy but I still had to fight all my enemies
The s**t that's going down son, it just ain't right
you're my enemy
you may think I got it easy but I still had to fight all my enemies
you're my enemies
These aren't just words my emotions are raw
I don't agree with that s**t so I go declare war
stand up don't sit speak out don't ignore
then its just a question of who wants it more
who wants it more?
Gonna grow gonna be the opportunity whore
Enemy
you may think I got it easy but I still had to fight all my enemies
The s**t that's going down son it just ain't right
You're my enemies

Phoenix

I bathe in this inferno may it cleanse my twisted soul
as I render all my obstacles to mounds of shapeless coal
and with this burning comes intense pain
that reminds me I'm alive
though there's flames that rage beneath my skin
somehow I still survive
Fire ate my weaknesses now just my strengths survive
the harder that it is for me the better that I thrive
I know I cant be beaten
and I know you know it too
Because I rise up from these ashes and there's nothing you can do
You tried to kill this phoenix by engulfing it in flame
but you only gave it power and immunity to pain
I'll rise up from the ashes of the life you burned away
and I'll still be as strong and ready as I was on any day
So bring it on
I dare you
We'll see who walks away
I rise up from these ashes no matter what you say
Demons dance in my mind I refuse their cursed gift
I try to block the pain
but its all in vain
and into darkness I drift
and now this fires burning higher and this pain wont go away
I give a silent scream like some demented dream
I guess that's the price you pay
When these flames begin to burn me I no longer wonder why
The suffering I go through fills my emptiness inside

What you need in life is something to do
Not easy for me, is it easy for you?
Ive been shot down more than once before
Yes I took my licks, but I cant take anymore
So lets hear it now, lets see what you got
Cant sit at the bottom, look up at the top
Life takes a sharp turn, you've got to learn
To deal with it, adapt, or else you'll get burned
So where will I go? Where will I be?
I wasted my time until time wasted me
So what will I do where do I turn to now?
I wasted all the time that I can allow.
Ive got no direction.
In need of correction.
These clothes that I wear are my only possession, I'm f**ked.
Enough of this ****, lets cut to the chase
Spend most of my time just looking for my place
So where will I go? Where will I be?
I wasted my time until time wasted me
Live grow and learn, that's what its about
and what waits for me? Well, I guess I'll find out
Life takes a sharp turn, you've got to learn
To deal with it, adapt, or else you'll get burned
Burned.

Me too

Me
do you wanna be
do you wanna be just like me
I ask you why
would you want to be
wanna be like me
you think you know what I'm all about
(you've) never done the route
so I really doubt
you
I'm here, right now, I'm me, not you.
kinda like the attention that you're giving me
wide eyes, taking notes but you cant see
I am not
what you think I am
a little different than just a little better than...
Why would you want to be me?
I'm here, right now, I'm me, not you.
I'm me, and you cant be me too.
